the person behind the pixels
I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list.
by the numbers
about me
Based in New Jersey. I work in digital marketing and business development by day — strategy, content, campaigns, building things. Outside of that I'm eating my way through cities, chasing good light with a camera, and occasionally doing something you wouldn't expect.
Since 2015 I've taken one photo every single day without exception — a running visual diary of everything. I also film one second of video every day, which I stitch into an annual film at the end of each year. It's slightly obsessive. I'm okay with that.
a few years, one second at a time
the year we made it official
Got married, and moved to the US. Huge changes, some tough moments — but we made it through the way we always do: together.
the year of the green light
The K-1 visa was approved. We spent the year soaking up as much of Toronto as we could, then closed it out with a trip through Taiwan and Japan.
the year of holding on
A year of waiting on our K-1 fate, and a heavier year than most in ways that don't belong on a website. But there were also more weddings and more happiness to celebrate while we learned to hold both at once.
the year of paperwork and getting back out there
Filed for the K-1 visa as the world started returning to normal. Managed to take a trip to Portugal and celebrated a few weddings!
the year of the question
Made it back to Toronto and proposed to my wife. The city was still locked down, but at least we had each other and a few new friends to make it through.
the year the world stayed home
The cameras kept rolling anyway. Launched field notes and finally wrote down the guides friends kept asking for — Toronto, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hawai'i — all from the couch.
the year of change… again
Right when life finally felt settled, everything shuffled at once — a new job, a new home, and meeting my future wife. Stability never stood a chance.
possibly the best year of my life
Started the year in New Zealand, lived in Australia for 3 more months, then a 6-week trip across Asia. Made it back to the east coast in time to officiate a friend's wedding, moved to Toronto, and closed out the year in Argentina. More than I could have hoped for.
the year of risk and getting out of comfort zones
Tried my hand at vlogging to get better at storytelling. Quit my job at Johnson & Johnson to join a startup, which led me to build a new life in Australia and Canada. Oh, and I visited Seattle, Portland, LA, Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, and more.
the year of change and personal growth
Moved into my own apartment for the first time. Completed my first half marathon and sprint triathlon. And last but not least — bought the motorcycle of my dreams.
